Daily Bible Reading: Isaiah 37-38

Again we see almost word-for-word 2 Kings 19 and 20. It’s a good story and worth telling again. I did not study how close it is word for word, the story ends the same way 185,000 people died at the hand of the Lord because they came against His people. And yet we’re still worried when some happen. “What’ll I do, what’ll i do?” just bring it before God if he is powerful enough to destroy a hundred and eighty-five thousand people in one night, He can take care of whatever problem we have.

In Philippians 1 Paul talks about choosing life or death. He’s not sure which one to choose. Most say he’s not talking about literally choosing. I think he could be. We see here in Isaiah 38, God just gave Hezekiah another 15 years. I believe Paul is confident enough in his God, that if Paul asked for another 15 years he would have received. Just a few years Paul was “a missionary” look what he did, what could you have done with another 15 years?
