I am an experienced IT professional acquaintance with securing all aspects of infrastructure and business risk.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Information Technology from Bob Jones University. While completing my degree, I sharpened my leadership and organizational skills serving as Sergeant-at-Arms for the Sidney Lanier Literary Society. During school, I balanced two jobs—working as a cook at Taco Casa and as a bookkeeper and help-desk technician for Hammack Law Firm, PA. My role at the law firm involved managing financial records, assisting legal teams with projects and electronic evidence, and maintaining document and print servers. I also spearheaded the implementation of their first case management database and coded automated legal forms. Managing these technical projects while studying accounting sparked my true passion for computing and systems.
Soon after graduation, I joined Clawson and Staubes, LLC as an IT Assistant, advancing to lead the department within a year. In that role, I was responsible for Windows, Linux, and phone servers, workstation management, asset tracking, billing and financial software support, and office management across multiple locations.
I am a certified IT cybersecurity specialist, holding the ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) and CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certifications. With over a decade of IT experience in the legal sector and several years in manufacturing, my core focus centers on cybersecurity, network defense, and risk management frameworks such as NIST. To expand my skill set, I also enjoy studying foreign languages and have a practical grasp of Spanish, French, and Danish.
Outside of work and study, I prioritize being a dedicated husband and father—making a point to share family meals together and planning frequent trips to the happiest place on earth. My family and I are active members and volunteers at Edwards Road Baptist Church.
