But they understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they did not grasp what was said.

I find it interesting that sometimes when that Jesus explains what’s going to happen they could convince it and say it won’t. Other times the disciples just don’t understand. I wonder what was going through their head at the moment that Jesus said he would die or be treated horribly
