It’s a scary thought for Peter that Jesus had said If you deny me I will deny you (Matt1033). Yet it does not end here, this is just the turning point for Peter I think. Sure he doesn’t go full zealot until later. But this is a crucial moment in his life, he’s picked to follow a great prophet/priest that he expected to be king. And now that supposed King is being lead away in chains. That’s interesting that we don’t see this night held against him later on. Oh I’m sure it was, any type of Christian makes mistake it will be held against them. But we don’t see that tainting anything that he does later. Be like Peter, make a mistake, learn from it and becomes that much better of a person.
