Daily Bible Reading: Isaiah 55-46

Ha ha. (45:10) I wouldn’t dare ask a woman in labor, ‘Whatcha doing?’ and yet I question God all the time. He is God, the creator of the universe, He is doing whatever He wants and doesn’t have to explain Himself to me. Yet, (v4) He called me by name and saved me.

V22 and several other verses mention all nations or everyone. Nothing is mentioned about Jews only. Yet during Jesus’s time and afterwards, some of the Jews seem shocked that the gentiles (the rest of the world) should be allowed into heaven.

46:1-2 interesting the way the other gods are described is bowing down. I thought that was the whole point, that they could not move. Or is that what I say is trying to say, that all of creation worships Him even things that are created to be anti-God.

Also, we have to be careful how we are perceived. Looking at v.7, he’s mocking the statues have to be carried around and said in its place. My first thought was the Ark of the Covenant, also had to be carried around set in its place. We are not worshipping the ark, we’re not worshipping the cross, we are not worshiping Mary. We are worshipping God.
