59:1-13 – what is with these pronouns. He starts out saying you did this halfway through changes to their problems and then switches to we suffer. So he speaks to the unrighteous among us first, then to the righteous among us, then to all of us. Us being the Israelites and or God’s people. And of course I don’t know when Isaiah is saying this is going to happen. He could be referring to Israel’s future/my past OR Israel’s future/my future. I could look up some commentary and see what other people think. I’d rather formulate my own opinion first. My opinion is that I don’t know.
59:14-21 – at least here we know he’s talking about the Israelites, not all of the redeemed of the Lord. Because the Israelites it seems have protection carried by the bloodline. As opposed to each individual is saved oh, my children are not saved because I am. That is quite clear from jesus’s teachings.
Chapter 60-when God blesses you, He doesn’t mess around. Not only is all your family returning but also gold!
