Definition: waiting, tense expectation. Bible hope is not based on circumstances. Based on a person choosing hope. Living hope from Jesus. Waiting for the entire universe to be rescued. Christian hope looks back to Jesus for a future salvation.
Hebrew: Qavah or Yakhal
Greek: Elpis

I love the way the Bible Project put it, a tense expectation. Because we know it’s coming. We know He is coming again. We have hope, not based on circumstances, but a living hope based in Christ of what is to come.
